01 — Biography
sxcha
Manchester-born, London-based artist, topliner and writer sxcha has built a writing and release catalogue independently. She has written for and with labels and publishers including Anjunadeep, Armada, Another Rhythm, Enhanced Progressive, Mondo Records, and Mahogany Songs, pitching for DJs including Paul Oakenfold, Oliver Heldens, Tensnake, DJ Fresh, Kimmic, and D.O.D. Her work has accumulated over 500,000 streams across all releases, with editorial placements on Spotify's New Music Friday, Spotify's Poolside Disco, and Beatport's Best New Dance, features on Above & Beyond's Group Therapy albums and A State of Trance compilations, and DJ support from Armin van Buuren and Anjunadeep.
Her standout release is "Head Lost" — originated as a piano and vocal jazz hook written for the club, taken into the studio with Grammy Award-winning songwriter Rob Davis, and released in collaboration with DJ Mason, known for "Perfect Exceeder" which featured in the Saltburn soundtrack. The track reached No. 1 on the upfront club chart. Her radio footprint spans BBC Radio 1 Dance, BBC Radio 6, Kiss FM, and BBC Introducing, where she also broadcast her own 30-minute minimix. A solo release through Mahogany Songs earned coverage on Record of the Day.
Away from dance music, sxcha has self-composed and produced an original classical score for a film screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, and trained vocally at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Now building her own artist project, in May 2026 sxcha features on "Colours" with DJ Darren Tate on Mondo Records, taking the record to Madrid's Love the Twenties Festival to perform live.
